Well, the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on this site and changing it from my blog to my website/blog and you may have already noticed a few change and there are still a few more ahead (please be patient!)…but for now, this is my website. A little over a year ago I had started planning a new/updated website and what I had envisioned didn’t play out, after all the work and time, and at the last minute, when I was disappointed, frustrated and confused, a new door opened and this came about! I will say that it didn’t take very long for me to “welcome” this site changing and I’m pleased with how it’s come along…and you know, sometimes, when one door closes, another door opens, with new possibilities! This is just what happened with this and I really am thankful and feeling (HUGE) relief for the end result…because it could be that I would still be trying to figure out the next step. So, both my former website www.TerriBeloitPhotography and http://terribeloit.com/photography will link to this same site…I wouldn’t want to “lose” anyone along the way…so if you are confused by the site, don’t be, you’ve found yourself in the right place. Feel free to look around and check out the new features and as I said, there are still a few new things to come, it just might take a bit before I get it all complete…and as with anything, it’s all a learning curve and truly…that’s a good thing because the more we learn, the more our brains are working…keeping them “young at heart!”
Last weekend I had a wonderful (split) session with a cute one year old and her family…I’m hopeful that within a couple of days I will get a blog posted from that session…and to be honest, it’s going to be hard, there are some really cute photos of this little one…so keep your eyes peeled for the posting near the end of the week.
Mild weather is still hanging around the Pacific Northwest and I must say, I will NOT complain about some rain or even some colder temperatures. With friends scattered across the country, I know that many have endured a really tough winter and certainly am thankful for the more “typical” winter we’ve had this year, despite the talk of a harsher winter…guess it just moved a bit farther East than they anticipated!! Colder temperatures are heading our way over the weekend…that’s okay, I’ll take it and just add another layer of clothes, if necessary…because it beats being snowed in for a few days or flooded out with heavy rains…and to be honest, we just need to “roll with the punches” and our punches have been pretty mild compared the punches others have had in the “rink!”
It’s back to work for me…but I hope this finds you all doing well and hanging in there as we have a little over a month until spring officially arrives!!

A quick “peek” from a session today with a darling little girl who’s about to turn one…couldn’t resist sharing this with all of you and a chance to wish each of you a wonderful Valentine’s Day…shared with family and friends who you love! More to come of this cutie and her family later this week!
Wednesday…the day that signals you are half way through the week…many are relieved when we hit this point, as it means the work week is close to being finished and the weekend will be here…sooner, rather than later! I enjoyed my day with my sweet granddaughter, Jayden, and let me tell you, I adore these “mimi days” as they are times that create memories and for both of us! As a child, I spent a lot of time with my maternal grandmother and still remember clearly the times together…watching Little House on the Prairie, eating rice pudding for dinner (a real treat!) and all thetimes she had the patience with me, teaching me how to sew, knit and crochet (okay, so I don’t really remember the last two…guess I need to revisit those again someday!)…but what most stands out in my mind, is the love she had for me…and the confidence in what I could do and the encouragement to not give up…and as I sit here and type this, there are tears in my eyes, I still miss her over 26 years since she has passed away. Oh, how I would love to tell her about my days with Jayden, I know she’d love to hear all about it…but she is watching over us…and enjoying it all! So, for me, these “mimi days” are what I hope to create for Jayden…special memories that will live with her for a lifetime…and that she will hopefully, pass along someday to her own grandchildren. Now, I will admit she is my first grandchild…only one so far, but I do know that I want to create these memories with all of our (future!?!) grandchildren…because memories are priceless and will be remembered for a lifetime…of course, I’m throwing in some photos to go along with these…and that makes it all the more special for me!!

Yesterday morning sweet little Kinsley and her parents came over for her 9 month session, but it wasn’t quite what any of us had thought it might be. Poor little girl is fighting a cold (and poor mom and dad…so hard on them as well) and didn’t have the smiles or energy they had hoped for. There were some tears and some snuggling with mom, but we did get some photos…and although no smiles, there were some cute expressions and her outfits (for Valentine’s) were adorable. Since dad could come along they wanted some of Kinsley and her daddy, so we were able to do that…and some of her alone and a few of the three of them. Despite her not being herself, she is still very sweet and her beautiful brown eyes are as pretty as ever. So, for now, the photos, but I know that when it’s time for her one year session…she’ll be feeling good and we’ll have a great time playing and photographing…and I’ll be looking forward to that!!

What a wonderful family…it’s obvious that Kinsley is adored and worshipped by her parents…what a very lucky little girl…she’s truly blessed!

During a visit to my brother and his family a week ago, I was able to spend some time with my beautiful niece, Sydney, and some of her lovely friends for a “girlfriends” session. We met up and headed downtown on this glorious winter afternoon. It was close to 50 degrees and the skies were mostly clear and delightful…talk about a perfect time to photograph some of the nicest girls…it really couldn’t have been any better!

It was my pleasure and privilege to see and photograph Brylee last weekend! I first photographed her just about a year ago…when she was only 8 days old…it’s hard to believe she’s a year now and has grown so much! A little peanut at birth, she is now a very happy, sweet and beautiful baby…and has the best disposition! She was smiling when they walked in the door and she was still smiling when they left…it doesn’t get much better than that!! 🙂 When I first met Brylee and her parents last year, I instantly knew that this was a special family and so kind and thoughtful…and as I’ve watched Brylee through the sessions this past year, it is obvious that this is one GREAT family and they all LOVE their life. What a blessing they are to one another…and I’m thankful to have met and gotten to know them…and look forward to watching them all grow in the years ahead, as Brylee grows as well! Now, on to some photos of this cutie!

This chair is in it’s third generation and what is more special than something to carry on through the years…and believe me, it’s well made and is really nice…but I’ll tell you, Brylee can really ROCK this…she is definitely not one to be still for long!
Talk about beautiful eyes, the blue and sparkle just seemed to shine through…during the entire session…and in case dad doesn’t know it, he’s going to have his hands full when she gets to be a teenager…I can tell she will be a true beauty…inside and out, like her mother!
cupCake smash…this little, dainty girl, was not so dainty with the cupcake and boy, did she ever have a good time making a big mess and it was SO much fun to watch…she definitely gets the award for the little one whose done the best job of playing/destroying/eating her cupcake…it was GREAT!!!!!!!
What can I say, these photos speak for themselves! You’ve seen these little girls before, three of them below to the owners of “Kiwi and Kiki” and they are modeling some of their great new items they have for sale! Of course, the pettiskirts…they are the star of this shoot…so darn cute and I can’t imagine any little (or big!) girl that wouldn’t want one of these! The three red ones were for Christmas for their girls and the purple one…well, I am happy to say that it’s mine…and I have it here for any little ones that would like to wear it during a shoot! How cute would a newborn or a 6 month old, just sitting up, be surrounded by the beautiful ruffles of lavendar! My granddaughter was the model this day for the skirt and I have a feeling she will be asking to wear it again when she’s over…and who can blame her, how fun is it!
There are also some adorable and fun headbands, bows and flowers for your little darlings for Valentine’s and spring…you’ve got to see

LOVE, this photo…her expression is so beautiful…and those eyes…wow!

As I said, my granddaughter (in the purple) was one of the models and she and the other girl in this photo became fast friends…they were having a great time, laughing, being silly and just enjoying being girls…love how kids can make friends so easily!!!

Our youngest little model and wouldn’t you know, she lasted longer than the other three, who headed off to play…this sweetie was great and we had a ton of fun with her…she’s so cute!!!!
