Zamyia ~ STUNNING | {Tacoma Senior Photography}

WOW, oh, WOW…this beautiful young woman just knocked my socks off during her session!! Zamyia is an amazing and remarkable woman, who not only is STUNNING, but incredibly sweet, kind, brilliant, driven and so very nice! I had not met her before our session and as always, I wondered what she would be like and looked forward to getting to know her during her session, but I can’t help but say that Zamyia is probably the most incredible senior I’ve met!! Well, she’s not actually a senior right now…she had attended Fife High School, but is now enrolled at Highline Community College and taking running start classes and is so very excited to begin a new chapter in her life next year when she goes away to college. Our conversations were easy and I loved hearing her goals and plans for her future and what she enjoys doing outside of school and talk about easy going…Zamyia was such a trooper during her session, which was less that ideal! We met on a Saturday morning at Point Defiance Park and it was a bit of a question just what the weather would hold…as we waited for her to arrive…the wind came and went…the clouds came in and went out…the forecast was a bit iffy and rain was certainly a possibility! Well, possibility became a reality about 5 minutes into the session, but that didn’t bother Zamyia…a bit, she didn’t mind the rain and just kept going and smiling…rain and all. Yes, we got wet, pretty darn wet, but her beauty just kept shining through and she was continually game for more!! As we were driving out, the rain let up (for a bit), so we stopped for a few photos without having to take cover…and then said our goodbyes…and I must say, this woman left a bit impact on me…she is truly remarkable!

Zamyia has a love for history, especially European history and plans on attending Western Washington University next fall and hopes her college career leads to a job at an art museum in Europe after graduation. She’d love to study in London during one of her college years and I have no doubt that she will achieve all her heart desires! I think Zamyia was born a bit late…her love of history and actors such as Cary Grant, James Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and more as well as her love of classic movies, music, fashion and art are a sign of her “old soul!” I so enjoyed getting to know her and at one point mentioned to her mom (who’s also beautiful!!) that Zamyia was a bit of a diva because she was very comfortable in front of the camera and it was as though she was a trained model…her mom said, that was something she didn’t know about her! I later found out that Zamyia is shy, but I would have never known that from our session…she was at ease talking with me and so relaxed during the photos…it certainly didn’t seem that way at all during the session! So without further ado…here is this amazing young woman who I know will do great things in her life and be successful…beyond her dreams!!

Ahh, the raindrops are beginning to appear, but Zamyia didn’t hesitate at all with the rain and we had a great time in the trees!!Mom (Viveca) and Zamyia are two gorgeous woman who have a wonderful relationship and I could see how proud mom is of her amazing daughter!!You can see the raindrops…they certainly didn’t hinder us, maybe spurred us on to more!Didn’t I say B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!!!!!!Plenty of rain…the umbrella didn’t really keep the rain off, but was a fun propAnd, then, at the very end…a break in the rain and a chance to step “out” and I was so happy…can you see how incredibly beautiful and confident Zamyia is here!!

Zamyia…you are not only a beautiful, but incredibly gifted young woman who I’m blessed to have had the chance to meet and better yet, photograph…I’m so excited for you and your future…I know it will be all you can imagine, and more!!

Abigail & Logan | {Puyallup Children’s Photography}

Watching little ones grow over the years, is a a perk of my job…and when the little ones are also friends, it’s even more of a treat to have the opportunity to photograph the stage…and ages! The Swifts have been highlighted here before and it’s always fun to put together their blog to share with everyone. Abigail is turning three…TODAY…she has been a blessing and a delight to her parents and family for three years and as you will see, she’s got quite the personality…that shines through in photos (you should see her in person…it’s even brighter!). Sharing the spotlight with Abigail is her baby brother, Logan who will soon be 8 months old and has added to this wonderful family! He’s a very mellow and easy going baby…who is quite content just watching his sister play and hardly makes a peep…unless he has something to say!! These cuties kept me on my toes and make me work for their photos, but the more work that goes into it, the more fun I have and the more I love the photos…and that is just the case with these!! 🙂

Can you see the sparkle in Abigail’s eyes?!? She is full of energy and lots of creative ideas…I can only imagine what the future holds for her!How can one resist the bare buns of babies…and this photo with Logan and his “new friend” is just too darn cute…of course, he’ll not be happy with this when he’s 16, but I’m thinking his mom and dad will love it!!

Abigail is a wonderful big sister…so thoughtful and caring and always concerned about Logan!She’s very proud to be THREE…and happy to show off her new shirt!Another one that Logan may not like later on, but I love it…and his bright smile is priceless!A special photo with her momma…who as you can see she closely resembles…such a special relationship between these two!!And baby Logan LOVES playing with his momma…as the smile on his face shows!!

What a wonderful family…it’s hard to believe that I knew Michael and Allison even before they were married…and now, look at this sweet family!!

Michael and Allison…thank you for trusting me to capture some special memories for your family…cherish your little ones for they will be grown before you know it! It’s always a delight so spend some time with all of you and to watch your little ones grow!!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY, ABIGAIL!!

Delightful Logan | {Puyallup Children Photography}

What a treat it was last Saturday afternoon to meet this cute and busy baby…Logan, just 8 months old is VERY active and quite the charmer. Beautiful eyes and long locks that most baby girls would envy…he charmed me from the moment he woke up upon his arrival! It’s not uncommon for a little one to take a bit to get comfortable with my studio, the lights, my camera and of course, me…but Logan was smiling and playing from the word GO!! He was awesome and such fun! I was amazed and impressed when at one point…he crawled a bit and then just stood up…and did a few squats!! For an 8 month old, that is huge and I can see he will be walking SOON and keeping everyone around him quite busy! This is such a fun age…they engage when you talk with them, play with them and their sweet personalities begin to shine through and this little guy definitely made my afternoon!

And, you can see just how much his momma adores him…obviously would do anything for this little guy!!

At this age, EVERYTHING goes in the mouth…and although I can’t imagine just how good it would taste…Logan seemed to really enjoy the wooden fish!!

Both Logan’s dad and mom adore him and it’s obvious he is truly loved…which is what every baby deserves…and needs!!

Is this not the cutest shirt…Logan looks like a little ROCK star…I can only imagine in 20 years that he will love these photos…And, Logan’s grandma joined him for his session and I can imagine just how much she loves this little guy…more than words can say!!SO sweet!!!!!!!!!

LOVE ~ LOVE ~ LOVE

Bare baby buns…too cute, but this might be one that Logan won’t like as much in 20 years….LOL

I love this photo…it’s as though he’s being protected by his parents and feels secure and confident!

Logan, it was wonderful to meet you…as well as your mom, dad and grandma…you are a sweetie and I know you will continue to charm all who meet you!!

Ainsley…4 Years Old | {Tacoma Children’s Photography}

It doesn’t seem possible that Ainsley is already FOUR years old! She was just 6 months old when I first met her and it’s been great to watch her grow and change the past couple of years! She is not only a beautiful little girl, but very bright and a TON of fun! She tried to play “shy” when we first met up on a cloudy Sunday morning, but that didn’t last for long…before long, we were running, climbing stairs and playing games! That is one of the best parts of my job…I get to play a lot…be silly, make faces, and encourage my “kids” to do the same!! I loved that Ainsley’s mom wanted Ainsley being herself…so the funny faces and the great expressions were part of who she is…and I think she figured me out pretty quick, as she had me working out, while we played/shot….and she managed to get quite a few piggy back rides from me on some of the stairs we climbed! As I said, a smart little girl! Despite the cool weather, we managed to stay warm by moving a lot and really, this is what a child at this age is doing anyway…moving and learning and exploring…which is what I love to watch…and capture!! So…here is Ainsley…….Isn’t that smile AWESOME!!!And SUCH pretty eyes…with lots of sparkle and a definite glitter for life!!Now, I believe her mom knows this look well…and I LOVED it…how could you ever get mad at this face!!She loved all the colors of the glass…it was great to “see” something new through her eyes!!Ahh, the reward…a cherry sucker and it was well deserved, Ainsley was great and SO much fun!!

Meghan, great to see you and Ainsley again…and to meet your mom…enjoy the photos and know that there are some more to come!!

Wyatt…6 Months Old | {Puyallup Baby Photography}

Wow, it’s hard to believe that it’s already been six months since I first met little Wyatt and his parents, Dianna and Rob, late last summer! Now, Wyatt is 6 months old and is so stinkin’ cute…and such a sweet little guy, I can only imagine how much his parents have enjoyed watching they beautiful son grow and become a little person since his arrival! I’ve said this before and will continue to…I love my job, and meeting such wonderful people and the fact that I get to play with the little ones, is the BEST…and I can only imagine how much fun Wyatt’s one year session and cake smash will be…this little one has personality just popping out everywhere! I had the pleasure of seeing Wyatt a few days before his session when he came with his new little cousin, Lincoln, for his newborn session. It’s wonderful that these little guys are so close in age and how much fun they will have as they get older…they are both such blessed babies and both have great parents!!

What a neat family…I am really enjoying getting to know all of them!!

SUPER cute dinosaur hat…Wyatt was totally rocking it!!

This little guy is definitely the sparkle in his mom’s eyes…I love seeing this!!!

As well as his dad’s special little guy…how lucky is Wyatt!!

A favorite toy is always a plus during a session…since it’s all about play, anyway!

His outfit was great…right down to the feet…LOVE these little shoes!!

Check out Wyatt’s eyelashes…O.M.G. they are the longest and he has the most beautiful eyes…heart breaker, already!!

Maybe a little bashful?!!??

I love the little chubby arms and hands…this little one is just perfect!

We are getting a bit tired…

And, he was done…ready for a nap!

Wyatt was a delight and I so enjoyed talking with his mom and dad again…and hearing all about the first 6 months of Wyatt’s life. It’s a joy to follow babies during their first year when they are a part of my Babe’s First Year plan…and it warms my heart each session to see how happy, beautiful and healthy these little ones are – and how lucky each one is to have such loving and caring parents!

Dianna and Rob…so great to see you again and I can’t wait until Wyatt’s next session!!

Baby Lincoln | {Puyallup Newborn Photography}

There’s nothing more exciting than a new little addition to a family…and this little one, Lincoln, was welcomed by his parents, Phillip and Shawna, and is truly a blessing to them as well as their families! He arrived about a week early and is just perfect…10 little fingers and 10 little toes…the cutest nose and the sweetest, soft little cry. The day I met Lincoln and his parents, he was just 12 days old and was sound asleep upon arrival. I so love the little ones…I get to cuddle, snuggle and smell these sweet, precious babies and each and every one is a delight and I so love watching “mom and dad” with their new baby…it’s always an amazing sight…one that I will never tire of seeing! Such a precious gift and such love beaming from the parents…and these new parents are truly in love with their new son!

Oh, how I LOVE a mother with her new baby…melts my heart and brings tears to my eyes every time!Safe and protected, in his daddy’s arms…little Lincoln is content and peaceful!A beautiful new family is created!

From the tippy top to the tippy “toes!”

Hmmm, if only we knew what he was thinking!!

Is this not the SWEETEST little face, ever!!

Oh, how I live the “little bits” of babies!

Peaceful and innocent…

You can just feel the love these parents have for their new son!Lincoln brought along his “big” cousin, Wyatt, and we couldn’t resist a couple of photos of the two of them. Aren’t they adorable in these owl hats?!!!

And, these super cute ties and diaper covers were made by Wyatt’s mom…what talent and perfect for Valentine’s!

It was great to see Wyatt, I hadn’t seen him since his newborn photos and he will be next up on the blog as he came in later that same week!

Sleep tight, sweet Lincoln!

Phillip and Shawna…your new son is beautiful and I was thrilled to meet all of you and capture some memories for your family…I look forward to seeing him grown during his first year and capturing some more memories for all of you! Congratulations!!!

Aaron & Elizabeth…At Last | {Puyallup Engagement Photography}

Aaron and Elizabeth…at last is their moto and are they ever excited about the “at last” part! They are finally getting married and as you will see from the photos, they are so in love with one another, it just beams through in their photos! I had met Elizabeth a couple of years ago when I shot her business portraits as well as their darling daughter, Aryianna! Elizabeth is a realtor and so when we met last summer to talk about purchasing a rental home, she share that she was engaged…and the wedding is set for this coming August! We talked a bit about the details, but then went on to the house discussion. This past fall, we started talking about the details and planned for some engagement photos after the first of the year. We met up in South Prarie and then headed out past Carbonado to this great old (one way) bridge for the photos. After a week (or more!) of fog, cold and even some rain…we had a dry day and even some sunshine, although it still was quite chilly! A gorgeous location and the view of the river below was spectacular! I hadn’t met Aaron before, so it was nice to get a chance to visit with him and to see Aryianna again…she’s a sweetheart and very excited about her “job” at the wedding as a flower girl…she will be the CUTEST one ever!! This couple is so grounded, they know what they want, what’s important in life and truly value their family and friends…I loved spending time with them and am so excited for their big day this summer!

This is their motto…AT LAST…as they’ve been together for 12 years and everyone is finally say “at last” you are getting married!

Such a special part of their lives, Aryianna, is not only a beautiful girl, but very sweet and bright! Their dog, Jersey, also joined us for some of the photos…the complete family!It was definitely chilly, so I tried to give them every opportunity possible to snuggle to warm up…and they didn’t seem to mind it a bit!!

Couldn’t resist Aryianna and Jersey together…the “kids” and since Jersey is getting older, I wanted to be sure to capture some photos of Aryianna with Jersey!I LOVE the look of total adoration that Elizabeth has for Aaron…it’s a beautiful thing to see!The smile and sparkle in Aryianna’s eyes is the sparkle that I love seeing in children and this cutie has such a great personality…I could spend an entire session with just her!And, Aaron has that same look for Elizabeth…complete and total love!!

At last…the date has been set, plans are being made and it’s going to be a beautiful and fabulous day…not only for Aaron and Elizabeth, but for all their family and friends who are there to celebrate this wonderful occasion with them! I can’t wait!!
