Yesterday afternoon I had a very fun session with an adorable one year old! Amelia, as you may recognize from last week, and last year, was here for her official pictures. Let me tell you, this sweet and adorable little girl has the best smile and disposition…she was wonderful throughout the entire session and seemed entertained by most of our “tricks” to get her attention. The darling dimple on her cheek and captivating blue eyes just grab you and don’t let go! Oh, Amelia, your parents are going to have their hands full when you get older!!! Here are a few “sneak peeks” from the session…there are tons of wonderful shots, it was hard to pick just a few to share!
Great fun at the beach yesterday with this family…and we couldn’t have had better weather. After a week of cooler and wet days (which we needed), the sun was back and it was warming up…perfect at about 75 that afternoon! A fun family, willing to do about anything, nice light and it doesn’t hurt that they are great looking family as well! The shot below was fun, we played around for a bit with this and I think it turned out great…hope they like it!
Dad and Mom…what great subjects…love these shots!
Then, there’s their daughter who is almost four…making the complete family…she’s adorable!
Tons of fun…always a delight to photography you! Oh…did I forget to mention that this is my son, his wife and my granddaughter?!! Okay, so I’m a bit biased, but they are a great looking family and always a delight to photograph…and so patient with me when I want to try out something new! My daughter in-law has said she is truly blessed to be able to get photos often…when others talk about not getting photos of their kids or family for years! I’m happy to oblige them and take them as often as they’d like! ENJOY!
Today my husband and I had the pleasure of attending Amelia’s 1st birthday! She’s very special to us, along with the rest of her family…they are our neighbors and we love them all. Amelia arrived a year ago and we were the lucky ones (really!!) to get the first call…that it was time to head to the hospital…at 3 a.m.!! I headed over to stay with their son, Luke, who wasn’t quite two at the time and got the call around 6 that Amelia had arrived! Watching her grow this past year has been wonderful and so sharing in their celebration of her first year was a treat! Here are a few photos from HER day!!!
Big brother, Luke, show us his oranges and how he can put them on his head!
She starts out a bit dainty about the cupcake, but watch out…she makes up for it soon!
And, she tries to take Luke’s cupcake as well…thinking he wouldn’t notice!
WOW…she did a great job on the cupcake…and then moved on to the plate! That a girl, Amelia!
Excited about a gift…oh, so sweet!
We love you, Amelia! Happy BIRTHDAY!!!!
You may recognize Jack from my session earlier this week…he is back, yet again, this time he brought his whole family! Evan, Jack’s big brother, is full of energy and very independent…and that is just what I love about kids…a mind of their own! Of course, that presents challenges when photographing, but that is half the fun, trying to get a shot that mom and dad will love.
Evan is a GREAT big brother…he loves Jack and loves to hug, kiss and cuddle with him…as you can see from this shot. I can only imagine a year or two from now…how busy mom will be with these two adorable little boys!
One of the rare times when Evan was still – I love his look…no smile, but so sweet…which he really is. And those those eyes, they will certainly get the girls attention as he gets older! Watch out!!
Ahh…feet, love the little feet…and little bigger feet…this was an easy shot…no need to encourage smiles from the boys…just to try and keep them still!
And, of course, there’s the two responsible for these adorable little boys, dad and mom (Mark and Erin) who just celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary last month! You have two beautiful boys and should be quite proud! Thank you for a fun session…and I do mean that…keeping me on my toes and keeping up with Evan was a great way to spend the evening! Enjoy!!
Baby Jack returned for another session and this time he was a whole different baby! Not that I didn’t love the first one, but he was barely awake before and no smiles…this session…amazing what a difference five weeks can make for a baby!
He was wide awake the whole time (one bottle break…all models must have their alloted break!) and the smiles were a flowing…and wow, can he hold his head up…he’s one strong little guy!
And, what a great sport…he even put up with a couple outfit changes and can’t forget the “naked baby” shots, which are strictly for the purpose of embarassing him when he’s about 16!
Of course, all good things must come to an end at some point, and when I saw this look through the camera…I knew it was time…this was the very last shot…priceless!
Again, thank you, Jack, for a great session…so happy to get some smiles from you…and until your first birthday next spring…I’ll be looking forward to that…but of course, your mom will take plenty of photos between now and then…I’m certain!!!!
Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing a very sweet little baby, 6-month old Ainsley! Her beautiful smile and blue eyes that instantly captured my heart were just a small part of what I loved about her. Ainsley was happy and easy going throughout the whole session and such a good sport about it all! Of course, I always enjoy the babies…they are unpredictable and I love not knowing to expect…but of course, am always delighted with them. Here are some shots from the session yesterday…she’s a cutie!!!
