Alex…Senior on a FAST track | {Enumclaw Senior Photography}

It’s always a pleasure to see and photograph clients again and again…getting to know the individuals, families and following their children is a real bonus with my job. It was a couple of years ago when I first met this family when their son, Aaron, was graduating from high school and on this chilly Sunday morning, we met up again, for their other son, Alex, as he’s graduating in just a couple of months from White River High School. It’s a little easier when you are already familiar with the family and it was great to reconnect with the Mininger’s on this day…and I was excited to see how Alex was doing with his quad racing…which was a huge part of his life when I first met them…and it is as much or more today! Alex and his dad are woven into the life of races and the traveling that comes with that, although quick trips, allows them to see sights along the way and to meet many people with the trips they make for Alex’s races. A great attitude and spirit and willing to do and try just about anything…would be a good way to describe Alex. He has a great relationship with his parents and brother and yet, it was obvious they all have a lot of fun together and like to laugh. We grabbed some family photos on this day as well and I must say that poor dad, Dale, tends to get the brunt of the jokes from his sons…it might be because they are both taller…but you can see how much both Aaron and Alex respect him…a wonderful thing to witness. And, then there’s mom, Mischele…who definitely is a strong woman and manages to “wrangle” in her men with ease and said that in getting ready for their session, she was the first one ready this day….obviously, she’s well organized! I respect and admire her…and how she handles all the testosterone in her home…so calmly!!

Mom, with her “little” boys, who aren’t so little anymore…amazing how that happens!!A super family, with the newest addition, a four legged child, who is a perfect addition to the family!

Michelle with her “baby!” Ahhh, and this is what Alex lives for right now and from what I hear…he’s good…REALLY good!!!It was wonderful to see the Mininger’s again and catch up…I wish the very best for Alex and know that with as much passion has he has for racing, it will carry over into his future, with whatever he choose for his next chapter in live

Thank you, Mischele and Dale…great to see you and the boys and I look forward to the next time we meet again!

Zamyia ~ STUNNING | {Tacoma Senior Photography}

WOW, oh, WOW…this beautiful young woman just knocked my socks off during her session!! Zamyia is an amazing and remarkable woman, who not only is STUNNING, but incredibly sweet, kind, brilliant, driven and so very nice! I had not met her before our session and as always, I wondered what she would be like and looked forward to getting to know her during her session, but I can’t help but say that Zamyia is probably the most incredible senior I’ve met!! Well, she’s not actually a senior right now…she had attended Fife High School, but is now enrolled at Highline Community College and taking running start classes and is so very excited to begin a new chapter in her life next year when she goes away to college. Our conversations were easy and I loved hearing her goals and plans for her future and what she enjoys doing outside of school and talk about easy going…Zamyia was such a trooper during her session, which was less that ideal! We met on a Saturday morning at Point Defiance Park and it was a bit of a question just what the weather would hold…as we waited for her to arrive…the wind came and went…the clouds came in and went out…the forecast was a bit iffy and rain was certainly a possibility! Well, possibility became a reality about 5 minutes into the session, but that didn’t bother Zamyia…a bit, she didn’t mind the rain and just kept going and smiling…rain and all. Yes, we got wet, pretty darn wet, but her beauty just kept shining through and she was continually game for more!! As we were driving out, the rain let up (for a bit), so we stopped for a few photos without having to take cover…and then said our goodbyes…and I must say, this woman left a bit impact on me…she is truly remarkable!

Zamyia has a love for history, especially European history and plans on attending Western Washington University next fall and hopes her college career leads to a job at an art museum in Europe after graduation. She’d love to study in London during one of her college years and I have no doubt that she will achieve all her heart desires! I think Zamyia was born a bit late…her love of history and actors such as Cary Grant, James Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and more as well as her love of classic movies, music, fashion and art are a sign of her “old soul!” I so enjoyed getting to know her and at one point mentioned to her mom (who’s also beautiful!!) that Zamyia was a bit of a diva because she was very comfortable in front of the camera and it was as though she was a trained model…her mom said, that was something she didn’t know about her! I later found out that Zamyia is shy, but I would have never known that from our session…she was at ease talking with me and so relaxed during the photos…it certainly didn’t seem that way at all during the session! So without further ado…here is this amazing young woman who I know will do great things in her life and be successful…beyond her dreams!!

Ahh, the raindrops are beginning to appear, but Zamyia didn’t hesitate at all with the rain and we had a great time in the trees!!Mom (Viveca) and Zamyia are two gorgeous woman who have a wonderful relationship and I could see how proud mom is of her amazing daughter!!You can see the raindrops…they certainly didn’t hinder us, maybe spurred us on to more!Didn’t I say B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!!!!!!Plenty of rain…the umbrella didn’t really keep the rain off, but was a fun propAnd, then, at the very end…a break in the rain and a chance to step “out” and I was so happy…can you see how incredibly beautiful and confident Zamyia is here!!

Zamyia…you are not only a beautiful, but incredibly gifted young woman who I’m blessed to have had the chance to meet and better yet, photograph…I’m so excited for you and your future…I know it will be all you can imagine, and more!!

SUPERSTARS…Mom & Girls | {Spokane Family Photography}

Earlier this month I was in Spokane, visiting my mom and celebrating her birthday with her. The visit allowed an opportunity to finally get this family’s photos…we’ve been trying to connect for about two years in the fall or spring…and schedules just haven’t worked out…until now!! Mom…aka, Connie, is mother to beautiful teenage daughters, Kat and Hanna, and three of them could be mistaken for Charley’s Angels…they are a hoot together, laughing and goofing around much of the time, yet always watching out for one another! Seeing the bond between them is heartwarming and it’s almost as though they know what the other(s) need before they do! We spent a  GORGEOUS fall morning in downtown Spokane, part of the time outside and part inside the historic Spokane Club, where Connie is the sports and fitness director. Just the day before the session is rained nearly all day and yet, we awoke this morning to clearing skies and even sunshine…and my heart skipped a beat with excitement…it is so beautiful in the area we shot outside that I would have been sad to have missed the opportunity!  After a lot of laughing and goofing around an plenty of photos, we had brunch, with my mom and family, as well as Connie’s parents – for my mom’s birthday! You see, Connie’s mom is my God Mother…more like an aunt and I consider Connie a cousin…there’s no blood connecting us, but often, the ties are stronger between non-related “family!”  Here is a peek at the fun we had….enjoy!!

Hanna and Kate are both at Ferris H.S. on the south hill in Spokane, Kat being a senior and Hanna a freshman this year.

Did I not mention there was lots of goofing around and laughing…and this was just the beginning!Since Kat had her own session last summer, I thought Hanna needed a few photos of just her…to hold her over until she’s a senior! Isn’t she beautiful!

Ummmm…a little more craziness…these were called “hair stashes!” Connie’s didn’t work very well!Aren’t they all BEAUTIFUL…such natural beauty!!

Sisters and friends…the best of the best!And, not only do the girls go to Ferris, that is where Connie went to high school as well (me, too!!)…so a great connection there!Connie has done a fabulous job raising her girls…she has a lot to be proud of!And, more goofing around…actually, Hanna lost her boot running out of the street and “hopped” her way to the sidewalk while Kat retrieved it…as a car was coming their way!Love you…sister!!!Crazy hair…crazy women!! Love them!WOW…love this photo!!!Isn’t Connie stunning…and she’s even nicer…such an amazing person!!More crazy hair!!The end!!!

WHAT fun these three were…if you know them, you know just what I mean…crazy, fun, caring, smart and beautiful…all wrapped into each of these women!
