Sweet, sweet Kara turned 6 months old last month…look at this beautiful little one and those eyes that sparkle and shine! It’s a delight to follow “my babies” through their one year sessions and I’m always in awe of the changes and seeing how the little ones and their parents have grown and bonded. This wonderful family is so great…Abbie and Chris are relaxed and loving parents and it’s obvious they are totally in love with Kara!! Yes, their lives have changed in the past year, but they have embraced it and are growing and learning right along with Kara…and it’s truly a blessing to see such great families bringing little ones into this world who I know are going to grow into happy, healthy and thriving people. So, without further ado…here is sweet Kara (and an ADORABLE little ladybug at the end of the post!).
Such a sweet little girl, Violet is now 6 months old and part of my Babe’s First Year plan (as was her big brother, Lincoln)…this cutie has the most beautiful eyes and was SO good during her session. She shared some time with Lincoln as well as her parents during the session and it was wonderful. We had beautiful weather, not too warm and not too cold…and dry (it had rained the day before!)…ideal for little ones! I just love all the outfits that mom had picked out for Violet and she was a real trooper with the outfit changes, not minding a bit! She was quite curious about the long dry grasses and was doing her best to try and get to them, wherever she was seated. It took some extra work to distract her from this new found thing that she of course, ever tried putting in her mouth! What little one doesn’t put any new thing they find in their mouth. Big brother, Lincoln, was full of smiles and loved exploring while his sister was busy getting her photos taken…and he especially like the big trees around there…he’s definitely all boy and I’m sure will teach Violet all the things he has learned as she gets bigger! She isn’t quite crawling, but I am sure she is by now or will soon be and can hardly wait to see what she’s up to when her one year session rolls around in February!
Philip and Shawna, it was wonderful to see all of you and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy seeing you two with your beautiful children…what a blessing they are to have such great parents as you two! Enjoy the photos!!
This is a very special post to me because the beautiful expectant mom in these photos is our daughter, Jessalyn. She and her husband, Sean, are expecting their second daughter ANY day now!! They are proud parents to a very sweet, bright and adorable daughter, Emma, who is excited to welcome her baby sister, Harper Rae, to the family! For me, I’m filled with excitement and joy over the arrival of another granddaughter…it will make three for us and my husband and I couldn’t be happier!! When Jess was pregnant with Emma, we had her maternity photos scheduled…one day for outdoors and one for the studio, and unfortunately, Emma had other plans and arrived 5 weeks early, so the extent of the maternity photos at that time were a few photos in the waiting room before Jess headed off for a c-section. It was all a bit scary and there were a few hours of waiting until she’d arrived…and nearly a month in the hospital, but today Emma is a very normal, happy and healthy little girl who has made up and more for her early arrival! If you ask her parents, they will tell you she is a VERY active and BUSY girl who talks ALL the time! So, I had the pleasure of getting “real” maternity photos in with this pregnancy for Jess…and three sessions at that! The first was at the end of June and the last one was exactly a month later – with the beach ones in the middle during a family vacation in Oregon. I’m so very proud of the incredible parents Jess and Sean are and so excited to see them welcome a new little one to their family…and my husband and I are blessed to be “Mimi and Papa” to such wonderful granddaughters….and anxious for little Harper to join her big sister and parents!! If all goes as planned, this will be a natural delivery for Jess…our fingers are crossed and I’ve said many prayers that this time, everything goes as planned for this birth!!
We had to be sure to include the older “brothers” in some family photos…now Angus and Frankie will really have to stay on their toes once they have two little ones around the house!!It was too cute when Emma wanted a picture just like her mommy!!Someone was “photo bombing” her mom’s photos in the studio…it was too funny!I told you she was beautiful……and besides beauty, Jess is an incredible teacher who also just completed her masters degree this month…she is one busy and determined woman who I’m so very proud of!!! This was just 2 days before her due date…does she not look amazing!!!As you can imagine…there will be an announcement and of course, photos once Harper arrives, so stay tuned.
