AVA turns ONE | {Bremerton Children’s Photography}

MY OH MY…how I love watching my “babies” grow during their first year. And, this little one is the second in her family that I’ve been photographing since she was born…what a darling she is, as is her sister! Beautiful Ava turned one at the end of June and it was a little later than her birthday when we had her one year session scheduled. It was a delight to see how she’d grown as well as to see her big sister, Brylee, and their parents…this family has become friends over the years and I SO enjoy seeing them and catching up on what they’ve been up to! Ava wasn’t quite walking, but I would imagine she probably is by now…and her personality was TOO cute…I loved watching her, especially with her big sister! The dynamics between siblings is always interesting and I can see that Ava is certainly not going to be left behind and will whatever it takes to keep up with Brylee…she’s a determined and bright baby who knows just what she wants…I LOVE that about babies!!!

Brylee couldn’t wait to show me her new swing/playset in the back yard and boy, does she love it…and is not at all afraid of the slide…as you can see!!And she loves swinging as well and wanted to show me how well she swings and pumps her legs.Look at this BEAUTIFUL one year old…such pretty eyes and a smile that most certainly shines…
LOVED watching them with their little tea set…of course, Ava seemed to enjoy the “drop the cup” game more than “sipping” her tea…it was so cute!I”m sure that Ava is trying to tell me…ENOUGH, no more photos! Or maybe she’s reaching for the blue feather duster…LOL

Cupcake smash…she was a bit unsure to start off, but then seemed to enjoy creating a mess and showing us just all that she had done…one of my favorite parts of a one year session!


A little time “daddy time” which as you can see is priceless…melts my heart when I see photos like this…so sweet!

We didn’t want Brylee to feel left out, and since she’s 3 1/2, it was a great chance to capture some special photos of just her!!

LOVE this one on the right…the expression just cracks me up!!!

Oh, the giggles are about the BEST part of babies…and this little cutie was really flirting with my hubby…it was so stinking cute!!

I am in love with these photos…this family is so delightful, sweet and kind…and capturing some special memories for their family makes me realize this is JUST why I do what I do…I love capturing “life” for a family to cherish and share for a lifetime! Rick and Jessica…your girls are the sweetest, you know how much I love them and photographing them! Thank you for opening your home to us for each session…I can’t wait until the next time…Is it January yet?!!

ROSE…family…special | {Puyallup Family Photography}

DOUBLE the pleasure with this session…not only was Mary turning 5, but mom, Melinda, is set to deliver a new addition this summer and it was a perfect opportunity to capture some special photo of  baby Jonathan before he arrives! This new little addition is a long time in the making, and OH, so very loved already and I know he will complete this beautiful family! When Melinda contacted me about the session, I was beyond thrilled to hear that they were adding to their family as I knew they had been trying for a while. Mom was just glowing and looks SO very beautiful…what a delight for me to be able to capture and help them document this special time of their lives. And big sister, Mary, is really looking forward to Jonathan’s arrival…she’s planning to do everything for her little brother…which should give mom a chance to get some rest after he arrives!  I love the enthusiasm that she has and the pure joy of welcoming a new sibling to their family that Mary has! And, not let’s forget dad, Dave…who will finally have another male in the household to balance it all out! Oh, I can’t wait to capture the next family photos…after they’ve grown by two feet!

Their own special garden…just for them…hehehe!Mary was SO much fun to photograph and she lead the way for the session…choosing where we would shoot and setting up the poses!! I love that she had her own vision for this!This beautiful blond streak is totally natural and it just adds to her beauty and unique personality…she is a lovely little girl!
The “apple” of her parent’s eyes…she is so excited to share that with her little brother when he arrives!She sure loves her daddy…and as you can see, he completely adores her…how can you not!!Mary and Melinda…two beautiful people…daughter and mom and both such delightful people!!!!The Rose Family…can’t wait to capture the next family photo when it’s just a little bit bigger!

Dave and Melinda…it was such a fun session with all of you and I’m VERY excited about Jon’s arrival this summer…I can only imagine how adorable he will be…with such beautiful parents and the cutest big sister!!

Emma SMASHES it! | {Puyallup Baby Photography}

Just over a short year ago, our lives were blessed with the addition of a new granddaughter, Emma Lynn, who although she arrived early, it didn’t dampen our excitement or love that we had for her. Her first month was spent in the hospital, and once she came home, she fit perfectly into the lives of her parents, Sean and Jessalyn. Emma is their first child and let me tell you that these two new parents are amazing and naturals at this parenting thing!! I know that their roles as parenting didn’t start out quite as they expected, but they both stepped up to the task and didn’t bat an eye at what was involved the first month. Now, she’s over a year old and absolutely perfect!! She’s petite, but very mighty and likes to explore, and isn’t afraid to venture into “unknown” territory! She’s going to be an active and keep her parents on her toes!

For her cake smash, just a few days before her birthday, she was introduced to a cupcake, icing…aka…SUGAR!! Her first taste of the icing, she wasn’t sure about the texture, but continued tasting (and playing with it!)…and then we gave her a taste of the cake part, which she loved…absolutely LOVED and couldn’t get it in fast enough! It was so darn cute…and I must say, that the cake smash is one of my favorite parts of a one year old’s session…it’s such a joy to watch and a time that the little once can play with their food and not be told no!! Emma didn’t let us down, she made a good mess, really enjoyed her introduction into sugar and had lots of fun!

The cupcake was from Wanna Cupcake…I HIGHLY recommend them, their cupcakes are D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S…..

And…she’s done, ready to be cleaned up…and standing on her own for a couple of seconds…which will soon be longer and then walking…then the really busy times begin for her!!

BATHTIME…she loved it!!

Okay, I couldn’t resist the “naked buns” of this little cutie…all babies must have a few of these photos, for if nothing else to embarrass them when they are teenagers, but hopefully, to show just how darn cute they are!

Keep your eyes peeled for a post in the near future from Emma’s FIRST Birthday party…it was a blast and so fun to see her take it all in! Thank you all for indulging me with my personal posts, but I just can’t resist!
