Olivia – Goal Driven | {Puyallup High School}

This lovely young woman was a delight to meet up on this sunny and DRY afternoon. I met Olivia and her mom…after a few “rescheduled” session times due to weather. As you know, around the Pacific Northwest, the weather is not predictable, so flexibility is key when scheduling sessions. I was so happy it finally worked out for Olivia session…and what a wonderful time I had with these two women! A senior at Puyallup High School who has great plans and goals for the future. She’s working now, preparing and saving for college, knowing that the hard work will all pay off in the long run. With plans to attend WSU (go COUGS!!) and enter into nursing, I really admire Olivia’s plans for her future. Nursing is a great gift to those who are in need of the nurses….this is such a wonderful aspiration!! And, her interest is in newborns and children and since I have a granddaughter who was born premature and know just how much the nurses part plays in the care of these little babies…I love that she has this passion!!

Can you say amazing smile…Olivia’s smile just beamed through the whole session…a soft smile was not easy for her and that’s because she has such a lovely and natural smile, it’s just part of who she is…I loved it!!!Okay, so we did get a nice soft smile and my oh, my…is she beautiful…wow!Despite some objections from mom, we grabbed her for a couple of photos at the very end, couldn’t resist…two beautiful women!!

Celebrating MAX | {at the CIRCUS}

Max turned one and you’ve all probably seen his cake smash session already, but now it’s time for his party, just a couple of days after the session! What a celebration this was, with a wonderful circus theme…mom, Kerry, did a FABULOUS job with all the details, decorations, food and outfits…she’s such a talented individual…I’m truly in awe of her abilities!! As you can see, it was quite the celebration, a gathering of family and a few close friends, this little guy is truly blessed with all those who love him and are there to help his parents in any way they might need it! Along with big sister, Maddy (one of the clowns!!), these two are definitely the “apples” of their parents eyes…they are loved, happy, healthy and adorable!! Not much explanation is necessary for this series of photos…so I’ll just leave you to browse through and see just how much fun Max had at his FIRST birthday party!With technology, even grandparents in California could join in the celebration and see just how much fun (and how messy!) Max was having!

YIKES…that is one CAKE COVERED little boy…and you can see by the smile just how much he loved it!!
After a bath…much cleaner and less sticky, but in his eyes, probably not nearly as much fun as when he was covered in frosting!

Max…is MARVELOUS | {Puyallup Children’s Photographer}

It hardly seems possible that it was just a year ago and I was meeting this little guy for the very first time! Max arrived on April 5th last year and I had the pleasure of taking his newborn photos…he was an amazing little guy, such a perfect little model and I enjoyed my time with him and his family! Big sister, Maddy, was quite excited to show off her new little brother and I can’t tell you how much I admire his mom, Kerry! Along with dad, Ed, they are a delightful family that I think of as a bonus for my job…meeting such great people and making new friends! Max arrived at the studio on his actual birthday and oh, did he ever charm me….and he was (again) SO good for the session! His talented and creative mom had the outfits and props figured out and they were just perfect…I can’t believe he’s one….time sure flies!

Daddy and Max have matching ties…and are definitely related…you can certainly see the resemblance between these two…and I love their matching ties…nice work, Kerry!

Here’s big sister, Maddy, with Max…showing off these adorable little owl hats…they are just too cute!!!

The smiles on the faces say it all…happy and adorable…carefree children, which is what life should be for children!

You might recognize this beautiful blanket of Max’s…from last year…you never get too old for your baby blanket!! And the adorable bare buns…love little baby buns!!!

I love this photo of Max in the aviator hat…and his expression…he’s usually full of smiles and to see this thoughtful look, it melts my heart!

The cake was SUPER cute…and Max certainly enjoyed having it all to himself…he certainly took the opportunity to enjoy it ALL!!!

Can you say M E S S Y !!!!!!! Oh, the joys of being a one year old!!!

TOO cute…as you can see, Max thoroughly enjoyed his cake and the mess was evidence of the his fun and enjoyment!! I love CAKE SMASH sessions!!!!

THE END!!!

Now, stay tuned to for a blog coming up soon…with highlights from “Mr. Max’s” first birthday party…it was a hoot…oh, do I love being part of such great people’s lives and sharing in special events!
