Emmer Lynn | {Puyallup Newborn Photographer}

Beautiful little Emmer surprised her parents and arrived a couple of weeks early, but she timed her arrival perfectly! She joined mom and dad on Mother’s Day! There’s not a much better day for a woman to become a mom for the first time! Mom, aka Michaela, is beautiful and so at ease and relaxed with her new little bundle of joy! Dad, Joe, is right there to support and encourage with whatever they need. This lovely new family was a delight to spend a little time with on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. This sweet little baby is so blessed to have parents who adore her and are committed to giving her everything she needs and I can already see they will be great parents! Emmer also has a “four-legged” sibling who was so cute during the session, trying to snuggle into the blankets set of up for Emmer or giving her kisses…it was very sweet!

SELFIE | {2014 Monthly Projects}

As we were last month…late posting the “monthly themed photos” that Jayden and I are working on…but at least we are getting them up now! Our theme was SELFIE, which is quite popular these days, so why not! Of course, you’ll be sick of my face (not Jayden’s how could you ever be tired of seeing her sweet face?!) by the time you finish this blog!! LOL  The definition of “selfie” according to Wikipedia is “A selfie is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. Selfies are often shared on social networking services such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Tumblr. They are often casual, and are typically taken either with a camera held at arm’s length or in a mirror.”  In late 2012, Time magazine announced that selfie was one of the top 10 buzz words of the year and a year later, it earned “word of the year” according to the Oxford English Dictionary!  So with that being said…here goes our selfies!!!

Beautiful Kara | {Puyallup Newborn Photography}

A new baby welcomed into a family is one of the most heartwarming things that can happen to a couple and a family and this little beauty is SO very loved, as you will see in these photos. Abbie and Chris visited me earlier this spring for their maternity photos and I enjoyed talking with them about becoming parents. It’s normal to be excited as well as a bit nervous – these two had been planning and were ready for little Kara’s arrival (except for deciding on her name until she was born!)…although I don’t think they fully understood just how much they would fall in love with her and how quickly she became their everything! It’s incredible to watch a new parent with their child…and to hear just how much they love their new little one and and all the stories of the first few days…I will never get tired of hearing and seeing that! Sweet little Kara has a full head of dark hair and was just a pure delight during her session. A confession…I love the stolen little hugs and sniffs of “new baby” that I get during newborn sessions…it’s the BEST! Abbie and Chris are going to be amazing parents…they are totally committed to this sweet baby and I’m sure will only fall in love with her more and more each day!
