Last Sunday afternoon I met up with the extended Perry family at Wright Park in Tacoma. The weather had been playing games all day and at times it was very wet and windy, but we were fortunate that it all let up for the time we were there. A few sprinkles, but nothing that stopped up from capturing some special memories for this family. Ken is the man responsible for this group (along with is deceased wife, Ruth)…and it was my pleasure to photograph them this afternoon. These days with the busy lives that families have, it’s important to make the time for moments like this…and I hope they will all cherish these photos for years to come!
As I mentioned in my previous entry, I started last Saturday with a sweet little one year old, Addyson…and my afternoon went to the opposite end of the alphabet…to Zac…a really neat kid who is in his senior year at Emerald Ridge in Puyallup. It was really nice to meet Zac…he was fun and easy to work with! We had a few locations and although it had warmed up some from the morning, it still wasn’t that warm…I think it topped out at 47 degrees that day…still a tad cool!! Zac didn’t complain about the locations and was easy to photograph…he knew how to mix up the smiles with the serious looks and made my job even easier! He brought along his parents and with my husband as my “very able bodied assistant” we all had a good afternoon in Tacoma! Here are some from the session…but there are a ton more…hope you enjoy them!
Stacey and Ike…thank you for the pizza and beer at the end of the day…it was great to visit – and warm up!!
Saturday morning I met Addyson and her parents at a local park for her one year session. When she was six months old, I had the pleasure of meeting her and her parents for a session and found all of them to be fun and Addyson especially, who was a perfect little model!! With fall upon us, we had concerns if it would be dry or not…and it was dry, although VERY cold…just 37 degrees, which turned out to be too chilly for sweet little Addyson (okay, I’ll confess, I was cold as well!). After a bit, it was obvious that it wasn’t going to work outside, so we went to their home and once she had warmed up (and had a little snack!), she was great…in the comfort of her home, with her toys and surroundings she knew, her eyes lit up as did her smiles. She, again, was a great little model, although mobile now…which certainly keeps me on my toes…it was so much fun to watch her personality and listen to her babble as she played and explored! It was obvious that she is NOT afraid of much…and quite the little adventurer…her parents will be busy with her in the years ahead, but what a delight…she’s so sweet and precious! Again, it was my pleasure to capture some special photos for Addyson and her parents…a wonderful family! Thank you, James and Tammy, I hope you enjoy these…and the rest when the gallery is ready!
