Week FOUR of Fifty-two | {detail}
Is it possible that we now have four weeks behind us already this year? Thankfully, the past week has been MUCH quieter and calmer than last week…we had more of our “typical” winter with just rain and even a couple of days when the sun peeked out, just for good measure! I must admit that after the storm last week, I sure appreciate our usual winter weather much more…even though I’m really a warm weather person…I’ll take the usual rainy winter over the snow and ice!
This week, the focus has been just that, very precise with my theme being “DETAIL” and I shot all of these with my macro lens. With macro lenses, you can really isolate details and parts of a photograph and blur out the rest, but you also must be “spot on” with the focus, or it just doesn’t work. The best way is to use a tripod for macro photography, which I did with most of these photos. So, here’s a series of detailed photos….
For each of you, I wish a week filled with happy times, good health and lots of laughter…and I’ll see you next week, with a new theme!
I loved the computer keyboard (!!!) as well as Jayden’s eyelashes (so beautiful) and also the lock. All three were really thought-provoking. The others were beautiful, but they didn’ tmake me really THINK. Thanks!
Cindy
Cindy, thank you for your comments on my detailed photos for the week! I’m glad you enjoyed some of them!
Beautiful shots, as usual, Terri! I loved the shot of Jayden’s eyelash… I’m impressed she stood still long enough for you to take the picture! Evan is Mr. Fidget and would have been moving all over the place. 🙂
The second shot… is that foliage peaking through some concrete? The texture is amazing… I think I like that one the best.
And can I ask which lens you use for your macro shots? They turned out beautifully.
Erin.
Thank you, Erin, for the kind comments…it was fun to isolate on the little details this past week. I must say, Jayden is pretty good about sitting still for me…most of the time at least!! Yes, you are correct, that is moss that is growing out of the concrete. I used my macro lens – 100 f/2.8 for all of these photos!
