Baby Abigail

This past weekend my husband and I headed out to Tennessee for a long weekend to visit some good friends. And, it just so happens that they have a new granddaughter who is 3 1/2 months old.  Abigail is beautiful and one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever seen. She is so happy and easy going and has eyes that light up the room…and her lips…so perfect! As you can imagine, I made sure we had time to get some photos in and it turned out that we worked in a few mini sessions with this little beauty. Abigail is her parents first child and it’s obvious they are totally in love with her and it was fun talking with them as they can’t imagine life without her, yet just three years ago (July 7th) they were married and spent the first couple of  years enjoying married life. They are wonderful parents – so relaxed and just loving their new roles and “mom and dad!” I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding, so this was a real treat to be able to photograph their newest addition…I hope that I’m able to help them capture more memories of their life in the future!

This little sweetie woke up to me taking pictures of her…and this is what I got…what a doll!

She has the cutest nursery…and she was quite content just relaxing and taking in everything, especially the butterflies!

This ladybug dress was made for her and her cousin (a year old) and they were both so cute in them!

I love her eyes…they are the prettiest blue and just sparkle when you see them!

Tummy time…not real fond of it, but I am guessing she’ll be moving as soon as she can…she’s a strong and determined baby!

Michael and Allison…congratulations on your beautiful daughter…she is so precious and I can tell that you are a very happy little family! It was my pleasure to photograph her…enjoy these photos until I have the gallery ready for you…there are LOTS of photos…she was just too darn cute to not photograph!  Love you guys and Happy Anniversary – a week early!!!

Crain Family {Puyallup Family Photographer}

I must say that Saturday morning had me a bit nervous with looking at the weather and having a family with a two and four year boys coming soon…first of all the weather cleared a bit, meaning we could do some photos outside…AND, I met the family who were GREAT!! Emmett, who is four, after saying hello upon meeting him, instantly asked “Do you have toys?” I loved that…a kid who knows what he wants and I knew this would be fun. Atticus, his younger brother (two), was a bit more bashful and quiet, but I could tell he just needed some time. We started out with Emmett and he quickly found some old trucks (which were my husbands when he was a child) and was soon engrossed in playing with them…his smile and the little dimple that popped out as he smiled were great! Then, it was time for Atticus (I love these boys names!!) to join Emmett…and it took a bit, but it wasn’t long before his very sweet smile and sparkling eyes showed just who he really is! What a blast I had with these boys…so full of life, a great spirit about them and very kind…thank you Clayton and Sihaya for choosing me for your family photos…it was my pleasure to meet and photograph all of you!
I love these photos… Emmett is a true boy and when it was time to sit for a “nice” photo…you can see, it wasn’t what he had in mind…I’m sure that playing with the trucks was much more what he had in mind…but then he had a bit of fun…sliding out of the chair and some great grins for me! What a handsome guy!
Look at how Atticus is holding on to his dad’s arm…isn’t that just the sweetest thing…what a nice looking family!
My last photo of the session…such a fun smile…I knew they were in there!!!

San Diego Wedding…Jones ~ Wheeler

Back home again and it’s great to be back, I sure missed home, my husband, our dog and of course, my granddaughter! California was wonderful…not quite as warm as I would have hoped for, but you won’t hear me complaining, I still enjoyed my time there and especially having the opportunity to meet and get to know Kamie and John. The family session (previous post) was perfect to get acquainted before the wedding, even if the weather wasn’t quite what we would have wanted.
The wedding was beautiful and I don’t think they could have had a better day that week…the weather was ideal…comfortable temperature, no wind, no fog and best of all, no rain…just about perfect! Of course, it wouldn’t have mattered to John and Kamie what the weather was, because at the end of the day they became “Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler!”
I was honored to be asked to photography their special day and it was my pleasure to meet their family and friends…who were all so kind and a pleasure to visit with. I must say that a couple of people stand out from that evening…Cash, who was the ring bearer…he was a character…such personality and I was impressed that at his young age, he didn’t think twice about walking down the aisle…he was great! Another individual would be Cash’s mom, Brandi, who was VERY pregnant (and had been in the hospital with contractions the day before!)…and she did it all and on the dance floor, WOW…I give her the award for the most time on the dance floor!! Kamie sent me a note today and said that Brandi is still waiting for the newest family member to arrive…but that it will be any day…I must say, I truly expected her to deliver that night after all she did that day! Brandi gave a very touching speech/toast to Kamie and John…it is obvious that they have been great friends and have been there for each other through thick and thin! And, the best man, Dan, also gave a heartfelt toast and wished both Kamie and John the best for years to come.
Here’s a sample of some of the events that wonderful evening at Tom Hams Lighthouse on Shelter Island in San Diego…great couple, family, friends and beautiful location…
CONGRATULATIONS JOHN and KAMIE

I also would like to thank my brother, Scott Hege, for being such a great assistant…I couldn’t have done half the job without him! It was the first wedding he’d “worked” at and although he said it was a bit nerve wracking at times, he said it was a blast and he also enjoyed meeting everyone!
