Sweet, sweet Kara turned 6 months old last month…look at this beautiful little one and those eyes that sparkle and shine! It’s a delight to follow “my babies” through their one year sessions and I’m always in awe of the changes and seeing how the little ones and their parents have grown and bonded. This wonderful family is so great…Abbie and Chris are relaxed and loving parents and it’s obvious they are totally in love with Kara!! Yes, their lives have changed in the past year, but they have embraced it and are growing and learning right along with Kara…and it’s truly a blessing to see such great families bringing little ones into this world who I know are going to grow into happy, healthy and thriving people. So, without further ado…here is sweet Kara (and an ADORABLE little ladybug at the end of the post!).
As I’ve said before, the highlight of my work is following families as they grow and watching the children grow up…it is really a gift to be able to have the pleasure of meeting these new little ones and watching them grow into a little person in time. Johnny is now a year old and WOW…what a handsome little guy! He’s now one and is walking, running, climbing and more…he is a very busy little guy!! I had the pleasure of meeting his family a few years ago and photographing his big sister, Mary and have really enjoyed getting to know all of them. This little guy is full of energy and has a spark in his eyes that let you know he’s ready to keep moving an exploring! Johnny is a happy and curious toddler who had one smile after another during his session…I loved my time with him!!
I couldn’t resist this face when he decided the water was a bit too cold after wandering in on his own! A little Seahawk fan…Big sister, Mary, is so good with Johnny…and it’s obvious that he adores her! What little boy doesn’t give rocks and dirt a try at least once in the early years!?!Ahh, he’s still for a bit, and playing with the trucks…what a delight this session was!
Dave and Melinda, I thoroughly enjoyed the time with your family during Johnny’s session…thank you for sharing a bit of your day – I hope you two had a nice dinner celebrating your anniversary!
What a wonderful treat it was to have such BEAUTIFUL weather for this session with the Wallman family! It seems that for the past couple of sessions with them, we’ve been either rescheduling due to weather or dodging “not so ideal” weather with an alternative location. On this absolutely GORGEOUS Friday afternoon, we had sunshine, and LOTS of it! It was a delightful change from what we’ve had in the past and it was warm and we were all dry…whoo hooo!! Ed, Kerry, Maddy and Max are such fun to hang out with and I always look forward to their sessions, so we can catch up and I can see what the kids are up to! This past year Maddy started kindergarden…which doesn’t seem possible and will be in the first grade in the fall…I love watching my “kids” grow up through their sessions. This year the beach was a perfect choice and a nice location for this day! Some exploring, some playing, lots of sand, a bit of “oooey-gooey” something that Max found (turned out to be melted chocolate…which ended up on his shirt), a sucker or two, bare feet, bubbles, swings, slides, hugs, kisses, plenty of smiles, a few tears (poor Max!) and of course, bright sunshine!! Here is a peek at their family session!! Enjoy!! 😉
