Mr. and Mrs. Dahlstrom…married! {Renton Wedding Photographer}

This couple is GREAT together…and their wedding was wonderful and to be a part of such a great day was our (my husband and myself) pleasure. We started out early and went late into the evening…and I must say that we were exhuasted by the end of the night, but also excited at what we were able to capture for Megan and Derek on their special day!! And, the weather really couldn’t have been better…it wasn’t too warm or too cool…and ideal for the outdoor wedding and reception…this had to be a sign of a great future for them…everything falling into place! The wedding took place at Snoqualmie Point Park (GREAT location…check it out sometime, beautiful view!!) and the reception was help at in the groom’s back yard which backs up to Shady Lake in Renton…and that was a fabulous location!! Couldn’t have been a better day!

The groom and his best man (brother)…hmmm, they look a bit different in later photos, wonder why?!! TOO much fun for these guys!

My husband was photographing the guys getting ready…needless to say they ALL had a good time…as you can see!!

Jill, who is the groom’s mom was a wonderful hostess…and when she was opening the champagne…she said it should sound just like a woman’s sigh…but this bottle had something else in store and came bubbling out everywhere…we all enjoyed the “woman’s sigh!!”

All the little details for the bride…such fun to make sure it’s all taken care of…and all SO worth it when you see how beautiful she is!!!

Both the bride and groom getting some reassurance and last minute advice from their parents…great to see such wonderful support from family!

This location was GORGEOUS…and the weather couldn’t have been nicer…perfect temperature!

Look at this GREAT looking wedding party…aren’t they fabulous!

The wedding party and guests…such a fun group!!!!

Guess it’s important that they make it official!!  And, the father’s of the bride and groom were the witnesses…that’s such a special honor!!

Dancing…a lot of fun was had on the dance floor…though I’m not sure Gunnar (the dog) knew what was going on in his back yard!!

The cake…they both made sure the other got their fair share!!!  Needless to say, a bit of clean-up was necessary after this shot!

A few moments together…to reflect on the day…THEIR day!!

Saturday Wedding

What a great day it was yesterday…my husband and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Derek and Megan and despite it being a long day, it was perfect…and of course, there are tons of photos I’d love to share, I just need some time, so for now, you’ll have to be happy with just this one photo to tide you over…

Megan & Jeff {Engagement Photographer}

  A quick trip down to Boise, Idaho this past weekend had the purpose of an engagement session with a very cute couple who are getting married on New Year’s Eve. We were there for about 30 hours, but managed to pack a lot into the time. Visiting with good friends (parents of the bride to be) was wonderful and we got a tour of the church and were able to talk with the church’s wedding coordinator to find out more about that special day! We can’t wait to return for their big day…talk about a celebration…besides being New Year’s Eve….it will be a beautiful wedding for this special couple!

Megan is a gorgeous young woman and Jeff isn’t too bad himself…and together, what a great looking couple they make…and both are so very nice…it was my pleasure to be asked to do their photos. And, truth be told, I could photograph them all day…although, I’m not so sure Jeff would like that…he’s more your typical guy who isn’t that fond of photos and figured two or three would be good enough…haha…he didn’t know me and my style! I will say he was a GREAT sport and didn’t complain a bit and I think that because he loves Megan so much, he would have done about anything for her! A warm evening there and some pretty scenes around their home, we didn’t have to go far and as a matter of fact the first spot was right in Megan’s parents back yard with a beautiful pond behind them…talk about heaven, it was beautiful there! OH, and we can’t forget their “child” who was part of the session for some photos…Bailey, a cute little lhasa apso mix who is very sweet and has a funny little “snaggle” tooth (not my words…the “grandfather” of the dog used this term!!)…what a cute family they are!!

Here are just a few of the many photos I took that evening…they are the nicest couple!!!! Can’t wait for their wedding!!!
