Abby…expecting | {Puyallup Maternity Photography}

What’s more exciting that expecting your first child?! The anticipation, curiosity, a bit of nerves and LOTS of planning, all are part of what a new mother goes through during her pregnancy, especially the first one. Abby and Ken are expecting their first child, a little boy…well, maybe not so little as family history shows babies, especially the boys are not so small, so they are preparing for a little one that might not fit into newborn clothes for long! The glow that Abby had on this lovely August afternoon was nearly as bright as the sun that day. And, dad…Ken, is also very excited to welcome their new son and is very attentive and protective of Abby…it’s so sweet to see and such a lovely sign that this family is destined for lots of love, happiness and many blessings!! Due in October, it’s quite possible that baby will arrive early, so I will anxiously be awaiting to hear the news of his arrival so we can schedule his newborn session.

Boy…does Abby ever “carry” pregnancy well…she looks fabulous and so darn cute!
Abby and Ken, I can’t wait to see the THREE of you and to meet your new son! I wish you well, the last few weeks of your pregnancy, Abby…and pray that all goes well with your baby’s arrival!!

Elizabeth & Aaron | {Crystal Mountain Wedding}

It’s been a while since the planning for this very special day began, and I can tell you that both the bride and groom and their daughter were happier than they could have imagined as this day finally arrived…AT LAST!! Elizabeth and Aaron knew what they wanted and there was no doubt it would happen and they are so committed to one another, it was a lovely story to “watch” as the day unfolded…what a beautiful family, so very blessed! Aryianna, their sweet and adorable daughter, was just as excited about the day! She and her friends were busy getting some “flowers” ready for herself and her best friend, who were the flower girls, when I arrived in their room. This special event took place at Crystal Mountain, at the top of the gondola, on a late summer day, which we had all been hopeful there would be sunshine and blue skies for the wedding…and unfortunately, that was not the case…there was plenty of fog and clouds, but that didn’t dampen the spirits or change anything about this day, because at the end of the day, they were to become “Mr. and Mrs. Pollard!”  The bride…rather nervous, excited and a bit teary at times…was STUNNING…her dress just added to her beauty and when Aaron saw his soon to be wife, come down the stairs from the gondola, I’m sure he found it hard to catch his breath…as his smile just grew and anticipation of the day was all gone since it was now time!! The wedding was witnessed by family and friends, who love and support this couple and it was a delight to watch the love they all showed for this couple and family after the nuptials…it’s obvious they have many wonderful friends and some great family who were as happy as they were!! So, without further ado…here is a little bit of what I had the pleasure of capturing on their special day…

Beautiful women…sharing a very special day together!

Fighting the tears…not wanting to cry, Elizabeth became quite emotional, the closer we got to the top…the reality that this day was HERE and she’d soon be Mrs. Pollard!

The girls were excited for the wedding…as the guests waited to see this couple join together!!As I waited for Elizabeth to come down the stairs, I looked up and saw these signs, all pointing to where she would meet Aaron to be married…Elizabeth’s best friend…and maid of honor, walked her down the aisle, very touching as they are quite close!I loved Aryianna’s smile, as she watched her parents exchange their wedding vows…heartwarming!A little laughter, a few tears…all part of a beautiful and touching ceremony that joined this couple as husband and wife!The smile says it all!!!There were a lot of kids at this wedding…most of them family (and so cute!!)…so Aaron and Elizabeth figured this would be a great way to entertain them during the reception…and believe me, they had a BLAST!!!

Special couple, with very special friends!Elizabeth was so happy to share this day with her mom and stepdad…who were as happy as she was on this day!No cakes…or traditional cakes at this wedding, but the cheese”cake” was delicious….just ask Aaron, he get a real good taste of it!!What a sneaky wife…Elizabeth has this planned, but Aaron wasn’t prepared…and although that’s not quite how he planned to taste the cheesecake, he was a great sport and enjoyed the “bites” he got!!

Such a special family and such love they all share…they are so very blessed!

The moms have been friends since childhood and despite living across the state from one another, they are very close and their daughters are also wonderful friends…

Watching this couple during their first dance as “Mr. & Mrs.” was very touching…the emotions they were both feeling could almost be felt by those watching, such a touching dance filled with love, trust, and incredible happiness…And, then the family dance…and then add all the children…what fun that was!!!Congratulations Aaron and Elizabeth – it was an honor to share in your special day and I am excited for you to see the rest of the photos. As you walk to your future, I know it will be filled with many more special memories that you can add to this day and I know that you have a lifetime of happiness ahead of you!

Welcome Jonathan | {Puyallup Newborn Photography}

It was such a delight to be able to meet the Roses’ family newest member who joined them early this month…Jonathan! This little, well, not really so little, he was well over 9 lbs – was wanted more than you can imagine and they waited a long time for him and I’m SO very happy for them…it’s a huge blessing and a joy that I know they count daily!! Jonathan joined his big sister, Mary, and she is over the top about being a big sister and Mom, Melinda, says that she’s a great helper and perfect big sister!! I loved how excited Mary was to introduce me to her new brother and show me everything I needed to know for his session on this beautiful summer afternoon.

While Jonathan was awake for part of the session, he also slept at the end, guess we wore him out. He was a great little model and just went along with whatever we did…such a sweetheart!

You can see the pride that Mary has over being a big sister…she loves him so very much!

I so LOVE the “little bits” of newborns…it’s always hard to remember how little they are when they are even just a year old…so capturing these pieces is a great memory and treasure!

Dad (Dave) and Mom are more in love with the son than they could have even imagined…my heart was filled with excitement for them!!

Look at that sweet face…oh my, SO cute!TRUE love…

During a feeding break for Jonathan, Mary wanted to help me and take some photos…so we took pictures of each other…I think she has a future…she was very interested in seeing what she shot and trying again to get it right. I love when children are interested in learning and trying new things…she’s such a bright girl!

Modeling is hard work, even for a baby!

Momma and her kiddos…one of the best things in life!

These parents are filled with love for their son and so happy he’s finally here…I know this little guy has the very best parents he could ever have!!

Thank you, Rose Family, introducing me to your new little one…I am so very happy for all of you can can’t wait to watch your kiddos grow up! And, good luck next week with watching Mary head off to school…she’s starting kindergarten and so besides adding a new family member, seeing your first child start school, another huge milestone…so very exciting!
