Girt Family | {Edgewood Family Photography}

August started out with a wonderful family who just happened to be celebrating a special day when I met them. Joe and Kelli have two boys, who are QUITE handsome and were such fun…Garret is three, and actually it was his birthday on this day…so as you can imagine, he was full of energy (as three year olds are anyway!) and quite excited about the evenings events! Then there is Ryder who is just over one and a bit shy but he warmed up…as long as mom was close by. Watching this family and seeing just how busy they are…reminded me of when I kids were little and just how quickly those days pass…even if some days it doesn’t feel like that!  Garret greeted me as soon as I got out of my car…”Hi, photo lady!” It was so cute and he had me at that first HI and kept me going the whole session! A very busy boy who has a smile that REALLY shines…my oh my, and personality goes right along with it! Ryder was quieter…he took more time to watch and observe, but enjoyed playing in their play area on the equipment and although he’s just one, he could do (or tried) just about anything his brother does. The sweet, shy smile and big brown eyes just grab you and pull you in…you want to hug this little guy tight! He loves their dog, Frank, and swinging is at the tops of things he loves doing now! Dad and Mom…they may be busy, but you can see just how much they enjoy these two and aren’t letting a minute pass them by of their lives right

Garret didn’t sit still for very long, so this first shot was a bonus…and probably one of my favorites of him!

Ryder…not moving quite as fast as his big brother and content to just be gently swinging!

How could I resist their dog, Frank, who was their baby before the boys…love this face…Pugs have so much personality just in their little snout

Trying to keep Garret still for a family photo…a challenge and yet it is part of their life now…busy, perpetual motion and yet just perfect for their family at this time! I love the photo below…it show the boys personalities and mom and dad just embracing it all

Warming up a bit and playing peek a boo…so stinkin’ cute!

A kiss for the birthday boy!

LOVED their play yard and toys…it’s obvious the boys spend a lot of time here…and although Ryder can just barely peek out, I’m sure he’s going to soon be as tall as his brother and the two of them will spend hours in the “fort!”

Okay, this might be a favorite of Garret as well…a rare still moment and I love the natural smile…ahh!!!!Family FUN…such a great memory…for all of them

This totally shows the boys’ personalities…and I love it…Now a three year old…who loves balloons and especially the color orange…a boy filled with love, curiosity, energy (LOTS!), hugs, kisses and a desire to explore and learn – exactly what he should be doing at three years of age!

A rare moment for Dad and Mom (if only you had seen it…Ryder clinging to mom’s let and Garret trying to “tickle” them with my feather duster!!).

LOVE ~ LOVE ~ LOVE

And, finally, Garret is SO excited about his NEMO cake and who wouldn’t be…look at how cute this is!Was Garret ever excited about his toys…and I can tell he will have LOTS of play time with them…there will be hours of entertainment with these, I’m sure

Ryder decided to play a bit with the bows and paper…exactly what a one year old loves doin

This is just what a three year old should be doing…playing and exploring…and I loved that I could see him in his room and it perfectly fits him…I would have loved to have stayed and played with him, I can only imagine the imagination that Garret has

Joe and Kelli…your boys are the sweetest and I really enjoyed meeting all of you and spending some time on a special day – capturing just a bit of a “day in your life.” When I look at the photos, I smile and it warms my heart seeing just what a great family you are…and the incredible parents you two are…so loving and embracing of your boys and just what they are doing right now in their lives!

Evan & Jack…Brothers | {Puyallup Children’s Photography)

It was a real treat last month to see these two brothers who were visiting from Florida and to have the chance to schedule a session with them while they were in town. I’ve known their mother since she was in junior high with our son and now seeing her handsome boys is a reminder of how life just gets better with the years! Although this family has not lived in our area since the boys joined the family…I have had the opportunity to photograph them a few times and it’s always a delight…and watching them grow is so much fun! Evan is the oldest, seven and starting the 2nd grade this month…he’s a bright and very athletic boy who is determined and confident! Jack, now three and in preschool has the sweetest smile and his eyes just sparkle…I love his sense of humor and all the great expressions he has…he had me laughing a lot during the session! They have returned to Florida and I will look forward to the next time they visit…or maybe a trip to Florida (and Disney World) might happen and I can capture the whole family…in their home state!

Isn’t this little guy a darling…he was a delight to spend time with…so sweet and loving!

Evan is ALL boy and even though he likes to be tough, he is quite caring and thoughtful…and very protective of his little brother!

Melt my heart…you can see the connection these brothers have…priceless

Didn’t I tell you that Jack had a lot of expressions…love the total innocence he has!

~HANDSOME~

How blessed are these boys parents!!

Baseball…currently one of Evan’s passions…but he’s talented in many different sports!I LOVE this photo….Oh my goodness…this boy is going to break some hearts…

A rare moment – Evan is usually in constant motion!

Such a pleasure to spend time with these boys and to be able to capture some special memories for their parents…can’t wait until the next time…to see them grow and change is the highlight of my job…which I absolutely LOVE!

AVA turns ONE | {Bremerton Children’s Photography}

MY OH MY…how I love watching my “babies” grow during their first year. And, this little one is the second in her family that I’ve been photographing since she was born…what a darling she is, as is her sister! Beautiful Ava turned one at the end of June and it was a little later than her birthday when we had her one year session scheduled. It was a delight to see how she’d grown as well as to see her big sister, Brylee, and their parents…this family has become friends over the years and I SO enjoy seeing them and catching up on what they’ve been up to! Ava wasn’t quite walking, but I would imagine she probably is by now…and her personality was TOO cute…I loved watching her, especially with her big sister! The dynamics between siblings is always interesting and I can see that Ava is certainly not going to be left behind and will whatever it takes to keep up with Brylee…she’s a determined and bright baby who knows just what she wants…I LOVE that about babies!!!

Brylee couldn’t wait to show me her new swing/playset in the back yard and boy, does she love it…and is not at all afraid of the slide…as you can see!!And she loves swinging as well and wanted to show me how well she swings and pumps her legs.Look at this BEAUTIFUL one year old…such pretty eyes and a smile that most certainly shines…
LOVED watching them with their little tea set…of course, Ava seemed to enjoy the “drop the cup” game more than “sipping” her tea…it was so cute!I”m sure that Ava is trying to tell me…ENOUGH, no more photos! Or maybe she’s reaching for the blue feather duster…LOL

Cupcake smash…she was a bit unsure to start off, but then seemed to enjoy creating a mess and showing us just all that she had done…one of my favorite parts of a one year session!

A little time “daddy time” which as you can see is priceless…melts my heart when I see photos like this…so sweet!

We didn’t want Brylee to feel left out, and since she’s 3 1/2, it was a great chance to capture some special photos of just her!!

LOVE this one on the right…the expression just cracks me up!!!

Oh, the giggles are about the BEST part of babies…and this little cutie was really flirting with my hubby…it was so stinking cute!!

LOVE ~ LOVE ~ LOVE

I am in love with these photos…this family is so delightful, sweet and kind…and capturing some special memories for their family makes me realize this is JUST why I do what I do…I love capturing “life” for a family to cherish and share for a lifetime! Rick and Jessica…your girls are the sweetest, you know how much I love them and photographing them! Thank you for opening your home to us for each session…I can’t wait until the next time…Is it January yet?!!
