DOUBLE the pleasure with this session…not only was Mary turning 5, but mom, Melinda, is set to deliver a new addition this summer and it was a perfect opportunity to capture some special photo of baby Jonathan before he arrives! This new little addition is a long time in the making, and OH, so very loved already and I know he will complete this beautiful family! When Melinda contacted me about the session, I was beyond thrilled to hear that they were adding to their family as I knew they had been trying for a while. Mom was just glowing and looks SO very beautiful…what a delight for me to be able to capture and help them document this special time of their lives. And big sister, Mary, is really looking forward to Jonathan’s arrival…she’s planning to do everything for her little brother…which should give mom a chance to get some rest after he arrives! I love the enthusiasm that she has and the pure joy of welcoming a new sibling to their family that Mary has! And, not let’s forget dad, Dave…who will finally have another male in the household to balance it all out! Oh, I can’t wait to capture the next family photos…after they’ve grown by two feet!

Isn’t mom GORGEOUS!!!
A quick shot of Mary in the studio before we headed to the park…what a doll!!!
Their own special garden…just for them…hehehe!
Mary was SO much fun to photograph and she lead the way for the session…choosing where we would shoot and setting up the poses!! I love that she had her own vision for this!
This beautiful blond streak is totally natural and it just adds to her beauty and unique personality…she is a lovely little girl!

The “apple” of her parent’s eyes…she is so excited to share that with her little brother when he arrives!
She sure loves her daddy…and as you can see, he completely adores her…how can you not!!

Mary and Melinda…two beautiful people…daughter and mom and both such delightful people!!!!
The Rose Family…can’t wait to capture the next family photo when it’s just a little bit bigger!
Dave and Melinda…it was such a fun session with all of you and I’m VERY excited about Jon’s arrival this summer…I can only imagine how adorable he will be…with such beautiful parents and the cutest big sister!!

Didn’t I tell you…they ARE adorable!!!
Snuggling was definitely a theme of the session for these two…and not just because it was cold!

Both Jordan and Emily are incredible people, students and hearing about all their ideas and plans for the future…it was so refreshing!!

It was obvious these two have quite a connection…the way they looked at one another…melted my heart!!
There was plenty of laughing, giggling and red cheeks during the session…part of it was at Jordan’s expense as I asked about how they met and about their first date…it may not have been perfect, but he did something right because here they are, three years later…the cutest couple who obviously have a wonderful and loving relationship!
And there was some kissing to go along with the snuggling!!
It’s the littlest things that mean the most…
Their first date was at the waterfront in Tacoma…so it seemed like the perfect spot for the session…many fond memories…and more to come!
We had tons of fun during the session and when I asked if they wanted to jump…there was no hesitation…they were game for anything and laughed and smiled through it all!
Emily and Jordan…you to are the CUTEST and I loved spending some time with you on this chilly fall afternoon. I hope to get to know you both more and follow your lives together and all the great experiences and adventures that lie ahead for the two of you! I know that there are GREAT things waiting for you! My best to you for a very Happy New Year!!
Joey is a cutie and I loved his expressions during the session…
These two sibling are adorable and as close as they are in age, I know they will be close friends and be there for one another as they grow up…aren’t they the cutest!
The hat is perfect…kudos to mom…aka, Katie, for her great taste in outfits for both of the kids…LOVE them!!
Indy was a sweetheart…it’s fun to see how she’s grown this past year and she was quite the charmer…books and the trampoline seemed to be some of her favorite things this beautiful afternoon!
Isn’t that smile the best!!!!!

Such a cutie…
What a beautiful family, they are so blessed with beautiful and healthy children…

And, here is Katie’s younger brother, Joe and his wife, Michaela…along with their “child,” Maya…aren’t they a GREAT looking family!!
Maya was fun to have around that afternoon…she managed to sneak into as many photos as she possibly could…she didn’t want to be left out!!
And, now we add older brother, Matt, and his wife, Rachel. They have a daughter, Lila, who is precious…just look at that face, she just draws you right now…such a sweetie! She is just a little bit older than Joey…how fun the cousins are so close in age that they can all grow up together!

And, we now add Boppa and Mimi, aka…Marv and Chris, to the family…how fortunate they are to have such great children who have found the loves of their lives and such wonderful grandchildren…truly a very blessed family!!
The kids and grandkids…what a nice looking group…and all so much fun and great sports!!
As a grandma (also a Mimi) myself…I know how much it means to have grandchildren and to spend time with this…It’s obvious that Boppa and Mimi are loving their grandchildren and cherish the times with them!
And now, we have Jason’s family…his mom and dad, Sue and Jack, along with GG and Poppop, Betty and Thor, who as you can see certainly adore their newest grandchild, Joey, and there is Jason’s sister, Jenny and her husband, Jeremy…along with Jason, Katie, Indy and Joey…oh, how I love when families all gather together…the generations are wonderful for sharing great memories and creating new ones!!
You can see that GG is completely wrapped up in little Joey…and I believe it’s mutual…such a priceless moment!!
And, the session ended with Indy showing off her “car” which matches (according to Indy) her Grandpa’s (Jack) car…we had to highlight these amazing vehicles!!!
Someday Indy won’t be able to fit in this, but knowing the love that brought it to her will be cherish and the memories of her Grandpa and “their cars” will last a lifetime!!
Indy has grown and changed so much since her one year session…what fun it is to see how she’s growing up (and a bit sad as well)…and seeing her as a bit sister was delightful!!
Doing it “her way” – a girl after my own heart!!
Oh, how I loved sharing the afternoon with your families…Katie and Jason, you are great parents and have such wonderful families…I’m glad we were able to capture some memories for all of you…that I hope will last a lifetime and beyond!!
